自分もTwitterやInstagramで投稿したものの、どうして惹かれたのか・どうして読み続けるのかを立ち返ってみることに。
今回は『きみつづ』とは一体どんな話なのか、どのような点に惹かれたかなどについて話していこうと思う。

数年の時を経て、高校生になった雫は夏織という少女と出会い、ひょんなことからひと夏限定の恋人ごっこを行うことになる。
『きみつづ』1巻の帯を見ると、『きみつづ』について端的にまとめられていると思う。
どんな話なのかをよりシンプルにすると、「優しくて不器用な少女達が繰り広げるひと夏の出来事」。
雫だけでなく、夏織も優しいけど、どこか不器用な一面を持ち合わせている。そんな彼女達がひと夏を通して、大きく変化し、生涯忘れられない思い出をたくさん紡いでいく。

と言いたいところですが、これだと「ふざけるな」とか「もっと具体的に話なさい」とか「もう100回読みなさい」とかいろいろ思うかもしれない。
好きなところは物語自体がシンプルに面白いこと。
いろいろ考えたけど、この考えに辿り着いた。好きに理由なんていらない。言葉で形容できない何かが私を動かすのだ。
星川雫とは一体どんな人間なのか・朝香夏織とは一体どんな人間なのか・雫と夏織の関係性を軸に繰り広げられるひと夏のヒューマンドラマは読み応え十分。
ゆあま先生の描く物語や『きみつづ』に登場する人間達に惚れ込んだからこそ、単行本やグッズを買い、百合姫を購読し続けているのだ。
雫達のアクションに心を刺激され、いろいろな感情が引き出される。各回、良い感じのところで終わり、続きが読みたいという気持ちを的確に刺激してくる。
読み手の心にガツンと響かせる展開やアクションがいくつも散りばめられている。
雫達の葛藤やキャラクター同士の対立、葛藤や対立に伴う変化が秀逸に描かれており、読み手の心をガッチリと掴む。
夏織との出会いを通して、雫が本当の意味で優しくなるところが私は好きだ。
ひと夏という長くも短い期間をより濃厚に描く点も私が『きみつづ』に惹かれ、読み続ける理由のひとつ。

『きみつづ』のお気に入りシーンは挙げ出すと枚挙に暇がない。断腸の思いでいくつかピックアップすることに。
直近だと『きみつづ』28話で夏織が雫に「生きたい」と吐露するシーン。
夏織の心の声が生々しく描かれており、心に響く…
そんな夏織に寄り添う雫がいつもより優しく見えた。
後は芹が雫に夏織と付き合っているのではないかと指摘するシーン。

5話のラストもインパクトがあって驚かされたな。
個人的には、雫と夏織が植木鉢に朝顔の種を植えるシーン。「そこに何があるんだ」と感じた方も多いかもしれない。
好きだと感じた理由は構図にある。
植木鉢と支柱がまるで雫を捕らえる牢屋のように見えなくもだな。夏織から逃れることができないといった感じを覚え、雫と夏織が植木鉢に朝顔の種を植えるシーンは個人的に好きなのだ。
誰も理解できないであろう感情と言えるだろう。
初期の雫を見ると、「何、夏織から逃げているんだ」と雫に言いたくなってしまうのだ。
雫と夏織はどんな百合
雫と夏織はどんな百合なのか。
2人で1つ。1つで2人を体現した百合だと思う。
互いに支え合い、生きる力を分け与え、困難を乗り越えていく姿からそう感じた。
単行本の特典を見ると、2つ集めることで1つになると感じさせる物がいくつも存在する。
不器用だけど、温かい。夏織と雫の百合はそんな感情を抱かせる。
『君と綴るうたかた』はどんな人におすすめ
『君と綴るうたかた』という百合漫画はどんな人におすすめかと聞かれると、「少しでも興味を持ったそこのあなた」と言いたい。
涙を誘うヒューマンドラマが好きな方におすすめなのかなと捉えている。自然に涙が出るようなヒューマンドラマと表現した方が良いかもしれない。
『束の間の一花』のような漫画やドラマをよく見る方に刺さりそう。
『吸血鬼ちゃん×後輩ちゃん』のように儚さを感じさせる百合漫画や『やがて君になる』のように1つ1つの描写について腰を据えて考えるのが楽しい百合漫画が好きな方にもおすすめかな。
巷で入門用がどうとかといった話を耳にする。忖度抜きで言うと、『きみつづ』は合う合わないが分かれるタイプの一作だと感じている。話を追うごとに明らかになる雫の過去や夏織の秘密とかを見ると、尚更。
最も、世の中全ての人に合う漫画やアニメ、ゲームなどは存在していないと思うけど。人を選ぶだろうと思う漫画でも有名なYouTuberが紹介していたからという理由で読む方もいるような。(有名YouTuberのキリン氏が『きたない君がいちばんかわいい』を取り上げていた
後は『私の百合はお仕事です！』のCMで興味を持った方もこれを機に手に取って欲しいなと感じたりした。
『きみつづ』は世界観・ストーリー・キャラクターのいずれも魅力的だと思うので、少しでも気になった方は『きみつづ』を是非是非楽しんで欲しい。書店や次にくるマンガ大賞のサイトなどを積極的に見て、「これだ！」と感じる百合漫画を見つけ、とことん楽しんで欲しい。
