雫が書き綴るラブレターという名の小説とそれを心待ちにする夏織。何度休載したとしても、最後に待ち受ける真実を知るためにコミック百合姫と単行本の発売を待ち続ける。

今回は『君と綴るうたかた』30話の感想について語っていこうと思う。

『君と綴るうたかた』30話の感想

残酷で意地悪なラスト

アァァァァ！！！！！！！！

2ヵ月間待ち続けて、まさかのラストが待ち受けるなんて…ゆあま先生、読者の情緒を崩壊させるつもりですか？ヒドイです。

いつか訪れる展開だったのは分かっていたけど、できれば残酷な展開がこのまま訪れなければなと感じていた自分がいた。それを望むということは現実から逃げているようなものだというのは頭の中で理解しているけど。やっぱり、無理だ。

夏織の容態が急変する展開を見た瞬間、頭をハンマーでぶん殴られたような気分に陥った…基本的にハッピーエンドを望んでいるものの、全ての物語がハッピーエンドになるとは限らない。トゥルーエンドに終わる物語もあれば、ビターエンドで終わる物語もある。

『きみつづ』の場合、トゥルーエンドが訪れるタイプの物語なのかと捉えている。

ラストにおける夏織の心の叫びに全てが詰まっているように感じた。多くの読者が約束していた明日が訪れるのを望んだのではないだろうか。

夏織が生きている内に雫の小説が完成しない展開も予想していたけど、できる限り考えないようにしていた。1話から振り返っていく中で雫は夏織が生きている内に小説を完成できなかったのではないかという想いが膨らんでいった。

雫が小説を完成させ、夏織が小説を読んで元気になるというオーヘンリーの『最後の一葉』もビックリな展開も考えたりしたけど、ゆあま先生がそのようなエンドを描くとは思えないという考えに行き着く。それをしてしまうと、今まで積み上げてきたものを台無しにしてしまうような感覚を覚えましたね。

もちろん、夏織が完成された雫の小説を読んでから、この世を去る展開も考えた。

いろいろな展開を予想し、最終的に辿り着いた答えが夏織が完成した雫の小説を読まないままこの世を去るという展開。

後、何話残っているか分からないのにその結末に辿り着くのは早いのではないかと反論したくなる方が多数だと思う。

今までそこにあった当たり前の日常が突然、終わりを告げるのは正直怖い。栞もるりも芹もそれを感じていることでしょう。目の前の事実を認めたくないという気持ちが最も強いのは雫。

身近な人が瀬戸際に立たされる瞬間はいつ見ても慣れない。『きみつづ』はそれを実感させる。

『束の間の一花』や『1リットルの涙』のようなヒューマンドラマが好きな方に合った百合漫画なんだろうな。文学的な百合漫画と言いますか。

物語の進行自体はスローペースだけど、ふいに訪れるまさかの展開にいつも情緒を崩壊させられてしまう。だけど、ゆあま先生のサプライズは嫌いではない。一体どのようなサプライズで観客をあっと言わせるのかいつも楽しみにしている。

どのようなラストが待ち受けているのかという興味を刺激し続けてくれるからこそ、ここまで来ることができたんだ。

雫と夏織に訪れた出来事は決して珍しいことではなく、誰の身にも起こり得ることなのだと思う。突然、訪れた不安が心に直撃し、困惑したり、悲嘆に暮れたりするのかなと。

夏織は最初、自分の身に訪れた残酷な事実に大きなショックを受けていた。入院する前や入院した後、いろいろな感情が夏織の心に入り乱れていたのだろう。雫の小説という一握の希望が夏織の生きる理由になっている。

先が長くないという事実を夏織はすぐに理解できたのかどうか分からない。しかし、病気に対する葛藤は計り知れないものだと思う。この辺りの部分は簡単に言えることではないですが。様々な葛藤を経て、夏織は現実を受け入れているのかなと私は解釈している。

大切な人との別れは単純に怖い。夏織との別れが訪れるのかもしれないと考えたら、怖くて怖くて仕方がないのだ。考えたくもない。だけど、考えるのを止めたら、現実から逃避していると考えると、それはそれで苦しい。

認めたくもないラストに衝撃を受けつつも、次は一体どのような展開が待っているのか気になって仕方がない自分がここにいる。

冒頭の描写

冒頭の描写は小説の1シーンなんだろうな。

余白やルーズリーフを彷彿させる吹き出しで雫が小説を書き綴っている様子を表現しているのではないかと感じた。

雫の不安や葛藤が滲み出ている。

まるで、これまでの出来事がロールバックするかのような始まりだった。

創作物の持つ力

『きみつづ』30話を読むと、創作物の持つ力は偉大だと実感させられる。上手く表現できなくて申し訳ないですが。

夏織にとって雫の小説は生きる原動力になっているのだろう。漫画やアニメ、ゲーム、小説は人のパーソナリティを作り出すものだと捉えている。時には、大きな影響を与えることだってある。

小説家に限らず、漫画家やアニメの脚本家などの職業は1つのシナリオや描写が人に大きな影響を与える可能性があることを意識しながら、物語を考えていくのかな。

いい意味で影響を与えるのか悪い意味で影響を与えるのかは物語次第。

夏織の嬉しそうな顔は眩しく映る。対する雫も嬉しそう。この瞬間があるからこそ、クリエイター達は物語を描き綴っていくんだろうなと解釈している。

小説を読んでいる夏織を見ている時の雫の心から出てくる言葉の数々に創作活動を行う意義が込められているのではないかと思う。

期待と緊張。ゆあま先生をはじめとしたクリエイター達は常にそれらと隣り合わせなのかもしれない。だけど、それらの感情は物語を生み出した本人でないと味わえない。受け手もクリエイター達と等しく期待と不安を抱いていると思いますが。

私事だけど、とある先生からブログ内で公開した感想が作家の支えといった言葉を頂いたことがある。その言葉を信じているからこそ、私はインターネット上にレビューを公開し続けている。

完璧ではないにしろ、私も雫が期待と緊張を抱くのは分からなくはないなと思ったりした。ブログを更新した後、常にドキドキしている。

夏織の素の感情や言葉がどこかリアル。

次回の『きみつづ』は一体どんな展開が待っているかという期待も生きる原動力のひとつなのだ。

私はクリエイター達が生身の人間であることを忘れないようにしている。

小説は完成したのか否か

校正と校閲ができているかどうか分からない雫の小説。雫の様子から察するに、雫は一先ずラストまで書いたのでしょう。個人的には、まだ未完成の小説といった印象を受ける。

誤字や脱字、表現の仕方が微妙な可能性だってあるかもしれない。だからこそ、雫は完成したと言って良いのか迷ったのだと解釈している。いくつもの修正を経て、はじめて漫画や小説などの創作物が世に送り出される。

創作物を生み出す難しさはゆあま先生が過去に数回休載していることからも察することができるのではないだろうか。小説家や漫画家、アニメの脚本家などの職業は凄いと思うばかりだ。

雫は一先ずラストまで描き終えた状態の小説を夏織に読ませることになるのかなと感じた。見舞いの後、雫が小説を何ページ書いたか分からない。それでも、校正と校閲を済ませるのにそれなりの時間がかかるでしょう。

病魔は雫と夏織を待つとは限らない。

雫がラストまで描き終えることができたのは夏織が雫に力を与えたからなのかな。ファンの支えがクリエイターに力を与える。

1話の冒頭における雫の様子から察するに、一通り書き切った小説の校正と校閲を行っていたのではないかと捉えている。もしかしたら、雫が小説を完成させたのは夏織が亡くなった後？

正直、この展開だけは考えたくない。

雫が小説を書き終えたタイミングで夏織の容態が急変するなんて何という偶然なんだ。

最も、雫が完成と判断したら、小説は完成したことになるのかもしれないですが。雫は夏織から小説の感想を聞けるのかどうか。問題はそこだと思う。もちろん、夏織が助かるかどうかも重要だ。できれば、大逆転のミラクルが起きて欲しい。これは素直な願いだ。

絶妙なタイミングで終わらせるゆあま先生は本当に意地悪だなと思うばかり。モヤモヤした気分のまま長い時間を過ごすことになるのか。

個人的に好きな描写

個人的に好きな描写が『きみつづ』30話においていくつか存在する。

• 病室で雫が小説を取り出すシーン
• 雫の小説を読んでいる時の夏織の横顔
• 栞が雫を見て、不満げな表情を見せるシーン

雫が夏織に小説を見せようとする際、嬉しそうにしていたのが印象的。「ごそ…」という擬音なのですが、ハートマークが用いられていた。雫、夏織に小説を読んで欲しくて仕方ないといった感じだったな。

雫の可愛さが滲み出ている。想像以上にボリュームがあることに雫が慌てふためく様子も可愛い。

雫の小説を読んでいる時の夏織の横顔が美し過ぎる…

雫の小説の続きが読めるのを本当に楽しみにしていたんだな。夏織。その気持ちは分からなくもない。夏織が感じた気持ちは大事にしたいものだ。

ゆあま先生の気合がかった描写だったな…

雫を見て、不満げな表情を見せる栞も可愛い。テンションの落ち込み具合がヤバい…

最後に

一先ず小説を一通り書き切った雫と小説の結末を楽しみにしている夏織に残酷な現実が待ち受けていた。

ラストにとんでもない展開を用意し、読者の情緒を破壊しにかかるゆあま先生がヤバ過ぎる。だけど、私はそんなゆあま先生の描く物語が好きだ。続きが気になって仕方がない。

ヒューマンドラマや文学小説のような一面を併せ持つ『きみつづ』は無駄を極限までそぎ落とし、雫と夏織の物語に最大限フォーカスを当てている。

雫が過去とどう向き合い、現在をどう生きるのか。また、夏織は限られた時間の中で雫達のために一体どのようなことをするのか。

夏織は雫の小説を最後まで読み切ることができるのかどうかはもちろん、感想を雫に伝えられるのかどうかが気になるところ。

『きみつづ』30話の時点で雫の小説が完成したかどうか人によって考え方が異なる部分だと思う。私は校正や校閲ができていない状態なのを考えると、雫の小説は未完成ではないかと捉えている。

思春期の少女達のさまざまな感情をよりリアルに描かれた『きみつづ』に目が離せない。

31話は一体どのようなサプライズが待っているのかドキドキし始めた。
