今回はコミック百合姫2024年1月号に掲載されていた『今日はカノジョがいないから』21話の感想・考察について話していこうと思う。

サブタイトル

サブタイトルの「荒転」は好転から来ているのだろう。

七瀬とよりを戻し、何もかもが元通りになったと思ったゆには風羽子に未練を抱き続けている様子を表した回だった。

事あるごとにゆにの脳裏に風羽子の存在がよぎっていた。

ゆにの心が大荒れしているのを上手く表現したサブタイトルに仕上がっている。

夜の渋谷に突然降って来た雨はゆにの涙を表しているかのようだ。ゆにの心は大雨警報が発令されているのかな？

「荒転」という言葉をよくよく見ると、「雨天」という言葉が入っている。

雨天は雨模様を指す言葉だ。こういった部分を踏まえると、岩見先生の言葉選びのセンスが良いなと思うばかり。

ゆにが大好きな七瀬と一緒なのにも関わらず、風羽子のことで苦しんでいる。そんな様子をサブタイトルから察することができるのではないだろうか。

未練あるゆに

21話におけるゆにを見るとこう言いたくなる。

この、天下一品のドクズがぁああああああああ！！！

本当、ホームラン級のドクズだなと言いたくなる。

未練たらたら何してんの？という想いが積もりに積もる。

風羽子や七瀬に対してマジで不誠実だと思う。七瀬とよりを戻したと思ったら、良い子良い子してくれた風羽子のことが忘れられないのかよ？ゆに。

ゆにの言動を見る限り、ゆにの心は風羽子に侵食されているのが分かった。それを感じると、ゾクゾクしちゃう…あぁ…イイ…実にイイって感じてしまう。

学校の外階段で風羽子のことを考えているゆには正に恋する乙女。日常も思い出も記念日も全て風羽子の色に染め上がれたんだな…

1話を想起させるシチュエーションを描くことでゆにと七瀬の恋が再出発したと思わせて、ゆにのクズな一面を強調する岩見先生がジワる。だけど、そんな岩見先生のことが私は好きだ。

七瀬の顔を見る度、風羽子を思い出すゆに。七瀬と渋谷の街で過ごす時も風羽子のことを思い出すくらい、ゆににとって風羽子は必要不可欠な存在になったんだなと実感する。

極めつけは風羽子とお揃いのピアス。ゆには風羽子のことが忘れられないからピアスを捨てられないのだろう。後生大事に持ち続けるのは七瀬にとって裏切り行為だ。

七瀬はピアスを見た瞬間、ゆにに激昂するんだろうな。場合によってはゆにに暴力を振るいそう。絶対、ゆにはピアスを捨てられない。なぜなら、ゆにの心は完全に風羽子に侵食されているのだから。まるで、冬虫夏草が昆虫の全身に根を張り巡らせるかのように。

まぁ仕方ないよね。これまで、ゆにの寂しさを埋めていたのは風羽子だから。七瀬の脇が甘々の甘なのが120％悪い。

七瀬に嘘をついて後ろめたい気持ちを抱くゆにがどこかリアルに映る。嘘を積み重ねる程、ゆには苦しんでいく。自業自得ですが。

後、SNSのフォロワーに自分勝手だと言うゆにを見ていると、「お前が言うな！」と言いたくなる。お前も大概だぞって気持ちでいっぱいだ。

七瀬と一緒に帰る機会やデートの頻度が増えて幸せなはずなのに心が満たされないゆに。七瀬が部活終わるのを待ち続ける間、ゆにの心に寂しさが駆け巡っていたのが印象的だ。しかも、七瀬ではなく、風羽子のことを考えていた。

ゆには風羽子がいなくて寂しいとSNSに投稿しようとしていたんだろうな。

メッセージを考えては消すを繰り返すゆにがなぜか可愛い…風羽子のことを考える度、ゆにが可愛くなっていくようだ。ゆにの欲しい言葉を風羽子は発していた。

ゆにの運命を狂わせていた風羽子もまた孤独だったからこそ、ゆにの望んでいる言葉を理解していたんだろうな。ゆにに対する愛も本物だったし。

嫌いな相手が求めている言葉を発する姿を見ると、アジイチ先生の『できそこないの姫君たち』を思い出す。

『できそこないの姫君たち』はギャルとヲタクの恋を描いた百合漫画。作中、オタクの奏が可愛くありたいと思う七姫の望む言葉を口にしていた。

奏もまた、七姫と似ているからこそ、七姫の望む言葉が頭に浮かんだのではないかと解釈している。

これまでの話を振り返ってみると、ゆにと風羽子は孤独だったなと感じる場面が登場していた。風羽子は孤独による寂しさや怖さをよく理解している。これから先、七瀬がゆにの一番の理解者になることはないのだ。

雨の渋谷でゆにと七瀬が走るシーンにおいて、ゆにが風羽子を捨てて七瀬を選んだことを後悔している様子が触れられていたのも印象的。

七瀬と一緒にいなきゃダメだという考えがゆにに襲い掛かっていた。頭で分かっていても、納得できないゆに。どのようなシチュエーションにおいても、風羽子との思い出がゆにの頭にフラシュバックする。

自らの気持ちを偽り、七瀬にキスをするゆには罪の意識に苛まれていたように思う。風羽子を捨てた後悔と七瀬を騙す罪悪感がゆにの心を駆け巡っていた。自分のことを大切にしている人を蔑ろにするのも嘘をつくのも良くないのだ。だけど、ゆには風羽子に許しを求めている。

4巻のカバー裏に描かれていたシスター姿のゆにも神に許しを求めているかのようだった。それに対し、風羽子はゆにに救いを求めているかのように見えた。『今日はカノジョがいないから』に登場するキャラクター達は皆、罪深い。

対する七瀬は純粋な気持ちでゆにを愛し続けていた。七瀬の言動を見る度、ゆにの不誠実さが滲み出てくる。

お揃いのペアリングが欲しがっている七瀬の気持ちに気付かないくらいにゆにの心は七瀬から離れている。

ゆに。君はまごうこと無きドクズだ！！！

七瀬の嫉妬

ゆにのことを大切にしている七瀬の姿がどこか切ない…

バレーボールに極振りしていた時の七瀬はゆにに負けないくらいのクズだったけど。ゆにとの記念日を忘れるとかマジであり得ないし。

まるで、七瀬は失った日々を取り戻そうとしているようだった。部活と恋愛を両立している。有言実行というやつですね。

以前とは全く同じというわけではない。

なぜなら、七瀬は皆の前でゆにを下の名前で呼ぶようになったからだ。正直、これは驚いた。七瀬はゆにのことを名字で呼んでいたし。

極めつけはゆにとのペアリングを欲しがる七瀬。

風羽子に対する嫉妬心を剥き出しにする七瀬のドロドロした一面がたまらない…そんな七瀬を見ていると、最高にイイ！！と言いたくなってしまう。もっともっとドロドロした一面を見せてくれという想いが頭の中を支配する。

七瀬がゆにを見て、下唇を噛む姿が印象的。

風羽子がゆににピアッシングされたという事実が悔しかったんだろうな。七瀬。大阪でゆにと風羽子が情熱的に官能的に愛し合ったという事実も七瀬の戦闘不能に追い込むのに十分過ぎる。ゆにの体の至るところに風羽子の印がマーキングされているようなもの。七瀬がどれだけ拭っても消えることが無い。

ゆにが持つピアスは風羽子のものだという印。だからこそ、七瀬はペアリングを欲しがるのだろう。風羽子に負けていないというのを証明するために。

七瀬がゆににピアスを捨てたかどうか問い詰めていたのも風羽子に対する怒りの表れ。話が進むにつれ、七瀬が怖いと感じてしまう。

ピアスにしろ、指輪にしろ、想像以上に重い。

七瀬はゆにの左薬指にペアリングを着けようとしていたのだろうか。左薬指は結婚指輪を着ける指と言われている。七瀬は永遠の愛を証明しようとしても、それができなかった。七瀬の悔しそうな顔は本当に良かったな…

しかもハート型の指輪だったし。ゆにと七瀬は縁が無いというのをここまで強調する岩見先生がジワる。考えすぎかもしれないけど、読み手に対する愛というやつか。思いきり悶えてくれと言っているんだな。もしそうだとしたら、その気持ちは受け取るけど。

ピアスといえば、『ロンリーガールに逆らえない』の後日談に当たる『marking』を思い出す。

『marking』では、他の誰かと親しそうに話している彩花を見た空が彩花にピアッシングする様子が描かれていた。彩花を自分のものにしたという多幸感に満ちていた空が印象に残る。

ゆには月のピアスをつけて、風羽子に会いに行く未来はそう遠くはなさそう。

雨宿りしていた時のゆにと七瀬は波長が合っていなかったように見えた。七瀬の優しさはどこか空回りしている。

七瀬の独占欲が垣間見えた回だったとも言えるだろう。

まんが王の有償特典にゆにと七瀬がずぶ濡れになっている様子が描かれていましたね。

深い眠りにつく風羽子

教室で寝ている風羽子はまるで毒リンゴを食べた白雪姫だった。

ゆにに見捨てられたショックに苛まれ、現実を直視することができないのだろう。なぜなら、風羽子が顔を上げると、ゆにと七瀬が仲良くしている姿が目に飛び込むのだから。風羽子にとって、これ程辛いものもない。いわば、生き地獄というやつだ。

風羽子が寝ているのか起きているのかも分からない。多分、起きている。罪の意識に苛まれろ。ゆに。

あらゆる場面において、風羽子の存在がちらつく。ゆにと七瀬にとって、風羽子は嵐を巻き起こしたようだ。ゆにと七瀬の波長が合わず、どこか距離を感じさせる。

渋谷の街並みで眠る風羽子が印象的だ。ゆにに捨てられた風羽子と言えば良いのか。最も、それはゆにの頭に浮かんでいる虚像だと思う。風羽子はゆに以外の人間に見向きもされなかったのだなと実感する。誰も風羽子を理解しようとしなかった。だからこそ、風羽子はゆにが現れるまで孤独だったのだ。

本当、ゆにに恋する風羽子が可愛いんですよ。ゆにに全てを捧げていたように見える。4巻の描き下ろしエピソードを見ると、尚更それを実感する。

孤独ゆえに、風羽子は2番目の女で良いから見捨てないで欲しいとゆにに懇願した。

風羽子のことを吹っ切ろうとするゆにを見ると、風羽子の残した爪痕は大きい。ゆにが風羽子に目覚めのキスをいつするのか心待ちにしている。そんな未来を早く見たい。今後の展開をどうするかは岩見先生の特権なのですが。岩見先生がゆに達の物語を思う存分描くことに期待したい。

風羽子のアカウント

風羽子のSNSのアカウントには、ゆにに対する愛が溢れていた。フォロワー達は風羽子の恋を応援していたのだろう。最も、フォロワーを欺く風羽子は悪質なのですが。

個人的には、プラネタリウムの写真が描かれていたのが印象的。風羽子はゆにに喜んでもらいたいという一心でプラネタリウムを用意したのが分かる。家電ショップでプラネタリウムを目にすると、『今日はカノジョがいないから』とか『やがて君になる』の描写を思い出す時がある。

風羽子のフォロワー達は風羽子に応援のメッセージを送っていたのかな。

風羽子がSNSに写真やメッセージを投稿している理由はゆにに愛を贈るだけでなく、孤独から解放されたいという想いがあったからなのかもしれない。

誰にも選ばれなかった風羽子。初恋の人である優月が他の男と結婚しているという残酷な現実は風羽子の心をズタズタにするのに十分過ぎた。しかも、優月が妊娠している事実は風羽子をオーバーキルしていた。

愛や努力が報われないという事実は人の心を傷つける。

どれだけフォロワーが増えたとしても、風羽子の心は癒されることが無い。もちろん、どれだけ投稿内容に反響があったとしても、風羽子が救われることは無いのだ。あるとしたら、ゆにが風羽子に愛のメッセージを送った瞬間だろう。

SNSで目にする承認欲求を生々しく描いているように見えた。

冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ

ゆにの愛読書である「冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ」が映画化されるというのはゆににとってビッグニュース。

風羽子が何度も読んでいたのを踏まえると、風羽子は「冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ」が本当に好きなんだろうなと思う。何度も何度も愛読されるというのは作者冥利なのかな。

ゆには「冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ」を一体誰と見に行くのか気になるところ。

七瀬はゆにに「冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ」の映画を見ないかと誘う気がした。仮にそうだとして、ゆには風羽子のことで頭がいっぱいになると思う。風羽子に対する想いが再燃し、ゆには七瀬を捨てる姿が頭に浮かぶ。

「冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ」の映画は今後の展開に大きく関わってくるのかもしれない。上映初日に3人の運命を大きく分ける。4人と言った方が正しいだろうか。雪は敗者復活戦の権利がまだ残っている。七瀬と恋仲になるチャンスだぞ！雪。

作中の描写を見る限り、「冬虫夏草のブランシュネージュ」は蠱惑的な小説なのかなと感じた。

ゆにと七瀬を見守る黒猫

ゆにと七瀬がキスをしている様子を見守っていた黒猫が不吉な予感を感じさせる…

黒猫は不吉な象徴と言われることがある。それを踏まえると、ゆにと七瀬に破局が訪れるのはそう遠くはないという考えが頭の中を支配してしまう。

黒猫の近くに落ちていた空き缶やゴミ袋はまるでゆにと風羽子のメタファーといったところだろうか。見捨てられた風羽子がゆにに救いを求めているかのように一瞬見えた。これは考え過ぎですが。

黒猫もまた、風羽子と同じく孤独なのだろうな。

大勢の人間が行き来する渋谷を訪れた際、強い孤独感が襲い掛かって来る時がある。だけど、そんな渋谷は嫌いじゃない。

渋谷でゆにと七瀬が大胆な行動をしているのにも関わらず、大勢の人間が無関心なのが印象的だ。まるで、誰も彼も自分のことで精一杯といったところだろうか。

最後に

甘さや寂しさ、どうしようもなさなど、さまざまな感情が落とし込まれていた『今日はカノジョがいないから』21話。

七瀬の心に強く燻ぶる風羽子に対する嫉妬心やゆにの風羽子に対する未練が印象的だった。ラストの描写を見ると、ゆにと七瀬の恋はそう長くないような気がした。

1つ1つの描写が緻密に描かれていて、キャラクターの魅力が最大限引き出されているのではないかと思う。

渋谷という街の描き方も秀逸。ゆに・風羽子・七瀬の存在感が引き立っている。

複雑に絡み合った四角関係の行方はどうなるのか。22話以降も追っていきたい。

ゆにと風羽子は地獄の果てでも愛し続けるのだろうな…
