感想・考察

新章におけるキーパーソンであるマナリア＝スースの登場が10話における見どころだろう。

マナリアのアクションシーンは気合が入っているような印象を受けた。クレアとマナリアが楽しそうな会話をしているのを見ていたレイは複雑な表情を浮かべていた。11話以降、マナリアがレイに一体どのようなアプローチを行うのか。

X上でいのり。先生が細かな解説をしていたので、私の出る幕はあまり無かったりする。それでも作中における描写を少しばかり深掘りしていくことに。

マナリア＝スース

マナリアは10話における主人公といったところだろう。

カッコ良さと美しさを兼ね備えている。

声優は水樹奈々さん。『妄想代理人』の妙子や『地獄少女』のつぐみでお馴染みだ。

素直に言えば、『魔法少女リリカルなのは』のフェイトや『戦記絶唱シンフォギア』の翼などが頭に浮かぶ。『地獄少女』のつぐみも物語に密接に関わっていたので、代表作の1つだと捉えている。

マナリアは全ての属性の魔法を操るだけでなく、身体能力や教養も優れている。サブタイトルに用いられている完璧超人はマナリアのこと。ロッドを破り、倒れそうになる女子生徒を助けるマナリアの様子はまさしく完璧超人といったところだろう。

コミック百合姫のCMにおいても、壮麗な女性が登場する『嫌われ魔女令嬢と男装皇子の婚約』を紹介し、マナリアの存在感を強調していたような。この辺りは同時期に放送されている『星屑テレパス』とは大きく異なる点だ。

水樹奈々さんといえば、数々のキャラクターを演じている。作品によっては主人公のライバルポジションのキャラクターを演じる時もあった。マナリアもその1人だろう。レイに立ちはだかる強敵だというのを感じさせるのにこれ以上にないキャストだと思う。キャストを選ぶことの重要性を実感させられる。

1話丸々使って、マナリアの凄さやクレアに一体どのような影響を与えていたかについて描かれていた。幼少期のマナリアは傷ついたクレアに寄り添い、救っていたのも見どころの1つ。カッコいい女性の声を担当している時の水樹奈々さんは様になっている。

天秤の結果で結婚することになった男も内心、複雑な気持ちを抱いていたかもしれない。秤に乗せる物1つで愛する人と結婚できなかったのではないかという想いは巫女と結婚することになった男に複雑な気持ちを抱かせる。
