I bought Volume 3 of "If that's love, break it.", so I decided to share my thoughts on it.

Thoughts on Volume 3 of "If that's love, break it."

DSC_6642.JPG

When I was reading the third volume of "If that's love, break it.", I felt that Naoi was very cute.

Naoi's expression during the scene where Kurumi eats fries at the hamburger shop. Isn't that so cute?

The look on Naoi's face when she couldn't help but laugh at Kurumi's unexpected words. I felt like I got a glimpse of Naoi's true side. It's my personal favorite scene. I felt that most people would recommend the scene where Kurumi and Naoi shatter the hotel mirror and the scene where Kurumi proposes to Naoi that they live together.

I think the book was created to give a glimpse of Naoi's kind side, her righteous side, her fun side, and her caring side. Naoi's backbone was explored.

And what we must not forget is her lonely side, which hates being alone.

Naoi is a kind girl who hates loneliness more than anyone else, and is probably one of the most common-sense people in the series.

Even though she's a common sense person, I don't think what Naoi did to Kurumi is forgivable...

Naoi's dislike of being alone can be seen in the scene where she reveals to a sleeping Kurumi that she can't leave Mirai. Naoi's words had a lot of weight when she said that Kurumi was also alone. While she was happy to be with Kurumi, Naoi's expression also showed weakness and loneliness.

From the way Naoi looks for a way to live as a couple, it can be seen that Kurumi's suggestion of "Why don't we live together'' made Naoi happy. At the very least, Naoi may have felt that it was not a bad option to change the current situation. Otherwise, there would be no way to investigate the cost of living for two. Another highlight is how simple and cute Kurumi is when she proposes to Naoi that they live together. Wasn't Kurumi cute when she suggested her plans after graduating from high school? Kurumi is so cute when she shyly proposes to Naoi that they should live together…

There is another scene that makes you feel that Naoi hates being alone. That is an episode when Naoi was protecting her mother from her father. Naoi, who tried to protect his mother despite being burned by her father, was faced with the reality that his mother had taken his younger sister somewhere else.

It was too painful for Naoi. Even though Naoi's dedication left a lasting scar on her mind and body, her dedication was never rewarded...

Naoi seemed to be in a lot of pain when she was talking about her mother. She looked very, very sad. When I read the scene where Naoi reveals her past, my heart tightens. The words "too painful" swirl around in my head.

It may feel different depending on the person, but spending time with your family gives you a sense of peace. When we receive love from our parents, we feel loved and needed. I do everything I can because I want my precious family to smile and be happy. It's up to each person what they do.

Naoi and Kurumi are very similar. Naoi continued to protect her mother and younger sister from their father's violence. Kurumi continues to live up to her mother's expectations and plays the role of an honor student. Naoi and Kurumi's hearts were torn to shreds due to their broken home environment. You can probably guess that Naoi and Kurumi are similar people from Kujibikido's original illustrations. The illustration that made me think they were similar was an illustration with a mirror drawn on it. I was surprised to see that the newly drawn illustrations were also selected for other awards besides the top prizes.

Naoi said that he didn't ask for anything in return, but I have some thoughts about that.

That's not true. Naoi was probably looking for love from her mother. By protecting her mother and sister from her father's violence, she may have been trying to earn them words of gratitude, such as "thank you". While making self-sacrifice, Naoi was trying to get something in return from her mother. Naoi may have had a desire to be relied upon by her sister.

The fact that Naoi's mother and sister disappeared without Naoi was an act of betrayal for Naoi. From Naoi's point of view, she must have been filled with thoughts like, "After all the sacrifices I made, why would she disappear from right in front of my eyes?'' That's why Naoi hates her mother and sister, whom she trusted. Naoi's love for her younger sister was depicted in a newly drawn episode in volume 3 of "If that's love, break it.". Through the third volume of "If that's love, break it.", we can see that Naoi's mother and sister were very important to her. Also, Naoi is a girl who understands the pain of being alone. Naoi's episode makes you realize how painful it is to be betrayed by someone you trusted.

Even though Kurumi had some problematic behavior, I think that the act of Kurumi's mother returning to her parents' house was also a kind of betrayal for Kurumi. Kurumi's mother keeps Kurumi cornered for so long, but when things get tough, she runs away from reality. Very sneaky. Kurumi's mother has pushed herself into a corner as a result of demanding perfection due to one mistake. The scars left on Kurumi's mother are vivid. In an environment like this, it's no wonder Kurumi's spirit wears down. Kurumi continued to play the role of an honor student in order to live up to expectations...but from the way Kurumi rested on the sofa and felt the illusion of her mother, she could tell that her mother's presence continued to dominate Kurumi's heart. Kurumi was probably criticized not only for her studies but also for her daily habits. I wonder if Kurumi's mother didn't allow Kurumi to eat food like cup ramen.

The sight of Naoi and Kurumi shattering the hotel mirror into pieces after having had such a difficult time was somehow refreshing. You can feel that this is the moment when the two of you understood each other.

The appearance of the new character Kudo is also a highlight of the third volume of "If that's love, break it.". Kudo was just as dangerous as the other characters. I think that when Kudo was in elementary school, she acted like a nice kid in front of adults, but when they weren't around, she would bully people he didn't like. I was wondering why Kudo approached Naoi, but it turned out to be a ridiculous reason.

It turns out that Kudo doesn't like Kurumi. In addition to the content of the main story, I was able to infer this from the manga on the back of the cover.

Kudo probably doesn't want to let go of Naoi, who gives her pleasure. Perhaps Kudo, who was a bully, became all alone after Naoi blamed him. In addition to potentially becoming a target for bullying, it seemed like few people would want to get close to Kudo, who had lost face at the hands of Naoi. Kudo probably had the upper hand until Naoi took the blame.

We can see the sacrifice and reward from Kudo's actions. Kudo asks Naoi to hurt Kudo physically and mentally in exchange for paying Naoi, who is having trouble with money. I think that ''reward'' is a keyword when following the story of "If that's love, break it.". A love that seeks something in return. A love that doesn't ask for anything in return. The two loves are very different. Many people may be looking for something in return. I can't say I'm an honest person either.

Kudo's desire to monopolize Naoi was also depicted in the story. It's clear from the depiction of Kudo trying to maintain her relationship with Naoi, even if it means paying a lot of money, and the manga on the back of the cover. The manga on the back of the cover depicts a scene in which Kudo, who has become the head of a nursery school, tries to keep Naoi, who has now become a kindergartener, all to herself. Honestly, I thought I would go that far. At the same time, I remembered past events.

When I was visiting my cousin's house, my cousin's friend tried to monopolize my cousin. Perhaps because my cousin's friend was there, I found it difficult to go to my cousin's house. No matter when I go, my cousin's friend might destroy the place. Every time I think of my cousin's friend's face, I feel like I don't have good memories.

I don't think Kudo's act of separating Kurumi and Naoi, who became the head of the nursery school, was much praised. It can have a big impact on human relationships. I think it's my fault too, but the distance between me and my cousin has become too great. To be honest, I can't say that no matter when I go, I don't always wonder if that girl will come. I'll probably never meet my cousin's friend again. When we started going to cram school together, I thought, ''This is serious''. I can't help but feel like I was secretly happy when my cousin's friend quit cram school. This is my weak side. Honestly, it was awkward. I thought what should I do? Maybe the other person was thinking the same thing. Even now, I sometimes wonder if my future would have been different if I had been closer to my cousin. I won't say why I thought that way because it's a sensitive subject.

Now that the story has gone in an unexpected direction, let's get back to "If that's love, break it.".

The manga on the back of the cover also depicts how Naoi wants to keep Kurumi all to himself. Naoi, who became a kindergartener to help Mirai, plays pranks. If Kurumi goes to warn Naoi, Kurumi will be freed from Kokoro's bondage. I think the manga would have made it possible to see that Kurumi was cornered by the expectations of those around her. Naoi helping Kurumi was honestly cute... Naoi is a cute girl. Naoi's mother was probably unable to face him head-on because Naoi was a well-developed girl. Naoi's mother ran away from Naoi because she was afraid that Naoi would say something inappropriate.

This is the leaflet that came with the 3rd volume of "If that's love, break it." from Melonbooks. It depicts an incident at a hamburger shop. There was a scene where Naoi asked Kurumi to smile. Hamburger shops offer free smiles. Even though it's free, is it really priceless to ask the store staff to smile? In some cases, store staff may have to smile at customers they don't like. It may be fair to say that the manga in the leaflet is also based on the theme of ''reward''. I don't need Kurumi's honor student smile. I completely understand how Naoi feels. Honor student smile isn't that interesting. I'm looking for Kurumi's funny expression. If you only look at the contents of the leaflet, you get the impression that the conversation between Kurumi and Naoi is a casual conversation between friends.

Speaking of payback and betrayal, the depiction of Isanuma and her friends can't be overlooked. Isanuma had promised Horie a date in exchange for keeping what happened in the classroom a secret. Judging from Horie's inability to refuse, he must have done something that he couldn't tell his students. Isanuma gets a date with Horie in return for keeping his secret. The classroom that Kurumi and Naoi were in was broken and crazy from the beginning. If Horie betrays Isanuma, Isanuma can destroy Horie by telling Isanuma's mother what happened in the classroom. It may be an exaggeration, but it will definitely destroy Horie's face. Azuma's secret about Horie is also probably true. Horie, who plays the role of a good teacher, must have been under a lot of stress. Horie was irritated by Kurumi's actions, so I guessed that he was on the edge of his seat.

I felt good watching the scene where Kurumi points out to Horie that he doesn't want to take it seriously. If you read the stories so far, you can tell that Horie is a no-frills type. Many of the bullying problems that occur in modern society may be exacerbated by the "all is well" philosophy. Is Horie an unreliable teacher at critical times? I also had to leave Naoi's affairs and the management of the important career survey forms to others. Horie may have contacted Naoi several times before.

The scene where Azuma was abandoned by Isanuma and Mine also left an impression on me. For Mine, telling Horie that Isanuma had messed with Kurumi was an act of betrayal. Considering that Azuma also talked badly about Kurumi along with Isanuma and Mine, it's no wonder that Mine is angry with Azuma. I felt that Azuma was cheating when she tried to escape on her own in an emergency. It may be because she has a guilty conscience, but it doesn't change the fact that Azuma was also saying bad things about Kurumi. I guess Azuma is a girl who gets easily influenced by the atmosphere of the place. I feel like Azuma's fear of not knowing what Isanuma and Mine will do to him and not wanting to be alone are also part of the reason why she joined Isanuma. Through Azuma, I could feel that she was left alone by betraying his friends. Watching Isanuma and the others makes me realize that I need to think carefully about the friends I make. Being betrayed by someone you thought you could trust causes great emotional damage. The person who betrayed you may not have considered you a friend from the beginning.

I couldn't see the look on Mine's face when I told Azuma that she was a nice person, but I'm sure Mine had hatred towards Azuma. Mine must have looked like a demon. Not being able to see Mine's facial expressions makes it even scarier. I thought that by deliberately not showing facial expressions, she stirred up the imagination and gave a sense of fear and anxiety.

After that, Kokoro is awesome. Kokoro's outrage at the end is horror...

Inside Kokoro's head, the pain that was driving Kurumi into a corner, the feelings of love for Kurumi, and the desire to monopolize the future were swirling around. Kokoro is certainly one of the reasons why Kurumi was cornered. Even though he declared himself Kurumi's lover without permission, she didn't try to help Kurumi at the critical moment. Still, Kokoro continues to seek Kurumi.

Kokoro is a girl who expresses her selfish side in others and her anxiety about being alone. After Kurumi went somewhere with Naoi, Kokoro was about to be overwhelmed by anxiety. Maybe the thought that Kurumi had left her took over her mind.

Compared to Kurumi's family and Naoi's family, Kokoro's family gives the impression of being harmonious. Parents of the heart pour love into the heart. I could see this in the scene where Kokoro's mother asks Kokoro to help out at the store. By the way, what kind of flavor does Kokoro's mother make grilled hormones taste like? It's been a while since I've wanted to go to JONETSU HORUMON. I remember Kokoro and hormones, but yakitori made with chicken hearts is delicious.

The more Kokoro tries to help Kurumi, the more scary Kokoro becomes. I think Kokoro had a mental breakdown just because she fell in love with Kurumi. Maybe it was doomed from the beginning.

DSC_6684.JPG

Also, the acrylic figures that come with MANGAOH as a paid bonus are cute...

I wonder if Kurumi, who was disguised as a vampire, was sucking Naoi's blood when she became a cat girl. It's like Naoi is playing a prank on Kurumi. Kurumi's shy expression is attractive. It's like Kurumi can't resist Naoi's attacks. Torn tights decorate Kurumi. It's an acrylic figure that makes you feel like Halloween.

※JONETSU HORUMON

JONETSU HORUMON is a Japanese yakiniku restaurant that focuses on hormones.

Lastly

Volume 3 of "If that's love, break it." is a book that evokes words such as "alone'', "reward'', and betrayal. Naoi and Kurumi, who were left alone, communicated their feelings and became closer than before. The scene where Kurumi proposes to Naoi that the two of them live together makes me feel happy. I got the feeling from Naoi's expression that it wasn't that bad.

I think Kurumi and Naoi will carve out a way for them to live together while fighting against the hopeless reality and the relationships between people around them.

In addition to delving into Naoi's past, Volume 3 of "If that's love, break it." also featured a new character, Kudo.

Judging from the fact that Kudo was reflected in the broken mirror depicted on the cover, Kudo will likely be at odds with Kurumi over Naoi. Kudo may not only derive pleasure from being hurt by Naoi, but also feel his own existence.

What will happen to the relationships surrounding Kurumi and Naoi, and Kurumi and Kurumi who visits Naoi? I look forward to the developments in Volume 4 and beyond.

In addition to the fact that the book "If that's love, break it." has been reprinted several times, the "If that's love, break it." web lottery has been released at Kujibikido, so I feel that the number of "If that's love, break it." fans are definitely increasing. Ta. It may feel different depending on the person, but if "If that's love, break it." continues for even a little while longer, I think I'll be happy to see the number of fans increase.
